What Time Does the US Stock Market Open?
The US Stock Market opens at 9:30A.M. EST. However, there is also a pre-market trading which begins at 8:00A.M. EST as well as an after-hours trading session which begins at the time normal market trading ends (4:00P.M. EST) and ends at 6:30P.M. These trading sessions are on Monday and Friday, but do not occur on holidays (although they may be shortened for some holidays).
